A letter from Kuta
Simple rooms. Same family. Since the 1980s.
My grandfather built the first cottages here when Kuta was still a fishing village with a handful of surfboards drying in the sun. He wanted a quiet place for travellers who'd rather wake up to frangipani than to a mini-bar.
We've grown from six cottages to twenty-six rooms, but the rules haven't changed. We know your name by the second morning. We pour you real coffee. We tell you which warung is good and which one is just good-looking. We don't sell you a tour you don't need.
