This Privacy Policy describes how Fat Yogi Cottages(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and shares information about you when you visit our website, contact us or stay with us. We are the data controller for the personal data processed through this site.
1. Information we collect
When you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details, name, email, phone number and message content when you submit the contact form.
- Booking details, dates of stay, number of guests and any special requests (handled by our booking engine partner and not stored on this website).
- Technical data, IP address, browser type, device, pages visited. Used to secure the site and improve usability.

2. Cookies
We use three categories of cookies. You control which run via the cookie banner and the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
- Necessary, required for the site to work (language preference, consent state). Always on.
- Analytics, Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager, loaded only if you opt in. Helps us understand how guests find and use the site.
- Marketing, used to measure campaign performance, loaded only if you opt in.
3. Contact form (Formspree)
Messages submitted through our contact form are forwarded to us via Formspree, a third-party processor. Formspree processes your name, email, phone and message content solely to deliver your enquiry to us. See Formspree’s own privacy notice for details of their processing.
4. How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiries and manage your booking.
- To send booking confirmations and stay-related updates.
- To improve our website and services.
- To meet legal obligations (tax records, guest registration under Indonesian law).
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We share limited information only with trusted partners required to deliver the service (booking engine, Formspree, analytics providers if you consent) and with authorities where legally required.
6. Retention
Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months. Booking records are kept for 10 years as required by Indonesian tax law. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at fatyogi.cottages@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
